I like the look of this. It reinforces my view that the iPad is more than capable of doing the job of a Netbook. It's not just for consumption and don't let anyone tell you that.

Multitasking with iOS 4.2 is really going to show the devices potential.

Asustek feels the iPad pinch as it lowers netbook shipments

It seems netbook giant Asustek, maker of the EeePC, is feeling the pinch of the iPad on it's netbook sales.

According to Digitimes it has lowered its third quarter netbook shipments goal for 2010.

Many questioned the iPad as being capable enough to be a 'netbook' killer, fairly pointing out that with no ports and iOS it was little more than a coffee table toy. Especially against the might of the EeePC and the Samsung NC10.

Perhaps for most people it is more than capable of providing their computing needs on the move. It's certainly more elegant than a 7" screen and a cramped keyboard....
