Cheap Mac RAM from Crucial
If there is one criticism we have of the average Apple Mac it is the lack of RAM installed on standard models. Recently models tend to have at least 4GB RAM which is good, but as we are all about used Macs then we’ll focus on those models from not all that long ago that have just 1-2GB. All the other specifications are still fine for top performance today but many used Macs do need a RAM upgrade. Okay, the Mac tends to use memory more efficiently than its PC brother but otherwise high end machines with only 2GB RAM is pushing it slightly.
If you are looking for RAM for a Mac then we recommend using the excellent service offered by Crucial. Simply select Apple then choose your product line then select the model from the list. Alternativly, if you are on the actual machine you want to upgrade there is an option for a system scan. This will then show you a list of all compatible Mac memory products.
Crucial sells quality, tested cheap memory for almost every Apple Mac model you can still get, even only second hand. We recommend buying new RAM here at Used Mac rather than our usual second hand advice as it is such a vital component that is easily compromised during extraction, packaging and shipping if not done professionally. You also know exactly what Apple RAM you are getting from Crucial.
