Make sure you get your free iPhone 4 bumper from Apple as soon as possible! After the 30th of September they will no longer be giving them out for free.
The bumpers, which normally cost around £30, had been given out free to customers who had suffered from 'Antennagate': a loss of signal on the new iPhone 4 if you held the device in a certain way.
The free bumper giveaway was announced during a Media Event in which Steve Jobs addressed the issue after a continued build up of bad press about the new device.
Despite the seemingly huge amount of negative publicity that this brought Apple, it seemingly hasn't got in the way of sales. Over 1.7 million iPhone 4's have sold so far. Certainly a walk down a busy London street backs this up as I see more of the new model than any other handsets.

Speaking to friends with the iPhone 4, none of them feel they've had any problems with it, even those that haven't even bothered with a case.
It does seem a shame as well fitting a case as it conceals the lovely hard lines that are so iPad-esque. But that's always the dilemma with Apple devices isn't it: Gawp at their naked beauty and risk them getting scratched or keep them under lock and key.
